Purpose of the Face Lift
Re-creation of the anatomy of the younger face, based on anatomical knowledge. The face is rejuvenated (facial rejuvenation ). Its appearance is refreshed by the tightening of the concerned skin areas, by the removal of excess fat deposits and by the refreshing and tightening of the underlying muscle tissue. The traditional goal of a facelift is to turn back the clock for about 10 - 15 years. A 'classical' face lift generally refers to the lower two-thirds of the face, including the neck area. The eyelid and brow area is usually considered a separate lift procedure, although they are also performed within the same session when needed
Classical Face Lift Face (Neck Lift)
Over marginal incisions along the margin of the face and usually within the area behind the ears, the skin is taken off and tightened. Surplus skin is removed. With the Classical Face Lift the underlying muscle tissue is likewise tightened and repositioned. With the complete Classical Face Lift Face and Neck Lift, all areas of the face including the neck are refreshed
Mini Face Lift
There are many alternative techniques to reposition and tighten the skin and soft tissue structures of the face. One of the most significant recent developments in facial aesthetic surgery is the ability to limit the scarring. These procedures are known by various names such as the "mini facelift," "mini facelift," and the "S-lift." A mini facelift is a lift that repositions the skin and soft tissues of the face that have been affected by the aging process. The mini facelift is intended for patients who wish to reduce sagging and droopiness only in specifically targeted areas. The scarring in the crease behind the ear and in the hairline behind the ear is largely or completely eliminated. The mini facelift is particularly suitable on younger patients in their thirties, forties and sometimes fifties. It can be combined with liposuction in the neck to give a remarkable overall improvement

Back to work: 10-14 days
More Strenuous Activities: Several weeks
Bruising & Swelling: up to 2-4 weeks
Must limit exposure to sun for several weeks

Combined intervention including Lifting of the Eyelids
It is possible to combine a facelift with an Eyelid Lift (medical: Blepharoplasty) in a combined operative session of Facial Rejuvenation
Longevity
A facelift with just skin tightening leads to results of about 3 years’ duration. The more refined method of SMAS Face Lift leads to a basically permanent result. However, it does not stop the aging process. The achieved rejuvenating effects diminish in a natural way over the course of time. For this reason a second lift is in most cases recommended after 7-15 years
