Why choose Wroclaw over the UK?
The choice to carry out cosmetic surgery in Poland instead of the United Kingdom has many positive aspects. At present, the UK has no legislation governing plastic surgery as the Poland does. Our choice of surgeons has been made not only because they have many years experience in this field, but also because of the high standards that surgeons have to adhere to in the Poland to be allowed to practice in plastic surgery. Our choice also gives the opportunity for our clients to have cosmetic procedures done at an affordable cost, and take a holiday in one of the most beautiful cities in Poland at the same time.
How long do I have to stay?
The length of stay depends on two main aspects. How long you need to stay, and how long you want to stay. When we quote you for your chosen procedure, the price shall include the amount of stay needed to recover sufficiently from the surgery. However, if you wished to stay longer, to explore the city of Wroclaw, we could arrange the stay to be extended.
Why your prices are so attractive?
The answer is that these are normal prices which we have for customers from Poland, Germany, Sweden etc. Why we should have different prices for customers from UK?
Are you insured?
Yes our clinic and medical personnel are insured.
Did you have some cases of bugled surgery?

Are there some different types of Breast Augmentation procedures?
Yes: Depending upon personal requirements the implant can be brought in position through different incisions: There is the peri-areolar incision which is made at the border of the brownish skin that surrounds your nipple. The Infra-mammary or "Crease" Incision is very popular; this is where the incision is placed a little above where the breast and rib cage meet, on your breast lobe. Another alternative incision is the Trans-Auxiliary or Armpit Incision, which is made near your armpit. By the TUBA (trans-umbilical) breast augmentation the incision is made near the navel and positioned in endoscope way. The implant can finally by place either upon or underneath the chest muscle: "Sub-glandular" is the act of placing the implant over the pectoral muscles under the glands and tissue of the breast. By "Sub-muscular" the implant is placed under the muscle fascia.
Which pro and contras have the different type of positioning of the implants?
The experienced surgeon achieves very good results with all the mentioned procedures. The Armpit Incision enables on one hand a practically invisible scar. However it is less frequently applied, since the necessary corrections at the beginning of the large chest muscle are to be executed more difficulty than with the more direct access by the Peri-areolar or Infra-mammary Incision. The Infra-mammary Incision is technically the simplest one to carry out. Even the scars are relatively inconspicuous. The Peri-areolar Incision requires more ability from the surgeon in order to obtain the optimal final breast form as well as the desired inconspicuousness of the scars.
Which type of implant is ideal for me personally?
The selection of the materials, the form and the size of the implant, as well as the type of the placement depend on various factors. Each individual criterion has to be evaluated from the experienced surgeon under different criteria: From the standpoint of physiology, health and even psychology. The quality of the consultation with the selection of the correct materials, the ideal form, the desired “final dimension" and the correct positioning of the implants depends on the degree of experience of the plastic surgeon. Our surgeon recommends and uses top quality implants produced by Mentor Company and Eurosillicone
Breast Lift
When should a Breast Lift (also called Breast Sculpture, Mammaplasty, Mastopexy) be done?
Women with sagging / drooping breasts (breast ptosis) and flabby skin represent the typical breast lift patient. The lowering of the breast usually occurs after pregnancy or after weight loss.
What is the procedure of a Breast Lift?
In the most usual form of breast lift the incision is made around the nipple and from its center downward to the breast fold. A further incision is in most cases made horizontally along the breast fold. Within this area - between the breast fold and nipple, the surplus skin is removed. The nipples are repositioned (higher) according to the new anatomy.
What is the procedure of a Doughnut Mastopexy?
A "Doughnut mastopexy" is a type of breast lift surgery that involves less skin removal and results in a significantly faster recovery time than breast lift surgery performed with the standard “anchor” technique. The scarring from doughnut mastopexy occurs around the circumference of the nipple and areola, and is often less noticeable than the vertical scars from the standard technique.
Does the Breast look larger or smaller after a lift?
With the new shape the breast gets more projection, so it might appear larger. However, this depends on the technique applied and on the extent of the intervention and should be discussed in detail with the specialist before surgery.
Are post-operational scars visible?
The incisions described above are small and carefully and precisely positioned. In addition, special combined sutures (including a special cosmetic suture) are used in order to leave scars as inconspicuous as possible. In the course of time the scars can become practically invisible.
How long of a clinical stay is necessary?
Usually a 2-day stay is necessary.
When will the sutures be removed?
We will use dissolving sutures so there will not be a need.
Does a breast lift represent a problem for breastfeeding?
In the case of an extensive repositioning of the nipples a reduction of the breastfeeding function can result. It is advisable to discuss details with your surgeon in order to minimize repositioning of the nipple if you intend to breastfeeding.
Breast Reduction
When a Breast Reduction also called Mammaplasty, Mastopexy - should be done?
Women with exceptionally large breasts represent the typical patient for a Breast Reduction. The weight of large breasts can lead to spinal column problems. For patients with genetically weak connective tissue, large breasts usually lead to breast ptosis (drooping breasts).
How is the procedure of Breast Reduction carried out?
In the classical method of Breast Reduction, an incision is made around the nipple and from its center downward to the breast fold. A further incision is in most cases made horizontally along the breast fold. Within this area - between breast fold and nipple, the surplus tissue (skin and internal breast tissue) is removed. The nipples are repositioned (higher) according to the new anatomy.
After a breast reduction a clinical stay of 2-3 days is necessary.
When will the sutures be removed?
We will use dissolving sutures so there will not be a need.
Does Breast Reduction impair the breast-feeding ability?
In the case of an extensive transfer of the nipples and extensive removal of breast tissue, the reduction of the breastfeeding function can result. It is advisable to discuss details with the surgeon in order to eventually take precaution by the reducing of the extent of the transfer of the nipples.
Liposuction
Are there some prerequisites for having liposuction (Suction Lipectomy)?
In principle everyone with a healthy heart and without a serious illness can have liposuction. The best results can be achieved for patients who are more or less at their ideal weight and who want to reduce diet-resistant areas of fat. The most problematic areas for women are: legs, thighs, the, abdominal region, hips and buttocks. For men: Abdominal region and hips.
How large and visible are the suture lines?
Usually the incisions are not larger than 4-6mm. Thanks to their careful positioning, in time the suture lines will be practically invisible.
Does Liposuction require a general anesthesia?
Small procedures such as at the knee or the chin can be carried out under local anesthesia Medium and larger sized procedures are carried out almost exclusively under general anesthesia
How much fat can be removed during one session?
The quantities of fat that can be removed vary greatly in each individual case, depending on such factors as the physical condition of the person and the area to be lip suctioned. Using special precautionary measures it is possible to remove a maximum of more than 5 liters of fat in a session. A small to medium liposuction lies within the range of .5 and 3 liters. On knees, calves, ankles and arms, the volumes are much lower. Generally there it is a matter of a few tenths of a lit re to be removed.
How good can the aesthetic results of a liposuction be?
Liposuction brings permanent and generally very positive aesthetic results. Even with older patients usually no subsequent skin lift is necessary. Within 6-12 months after surgery the skin usually had a beautiful, smooth appearance.
Is tumescent liposuction safer than "classical" liposuction?
The Tumescent method of Liposuction enables the surgeon to remove a larger quantity of fat without the use of general anesthesia, which always means a certain stress for the heart. The large quantity of the infusion liquid (Tumescent), however, represents a similar stress for the patient’s heart.
Is it possible to execute more than one Liposuction at the body?
Under certain conditions and after waiting a reasonable amount of time between procedures, it’s possible to perform several liposuctions (usually defined as Body Liposculpture) on the same patient.
What occurs immediately after surgery?
Right after the surgery the patient receives a compressive dressing around the treated areas. After abdominal Liposuction and all the areas below it (hips, thigh etc.), the compressive dressing will be replaced after one night by a particularly flexible support garment. In order to prevent or smooth irregular surfaces, daily massages on the treated areas during the first several weeks is recommended.
Can the fat in the treated areas accumulate again post-operatively?
Fat cells, once removed, do not grow back. However liposuction does of course not protect against an increase in body weight. The remaining fat can become larger as a result of weight gain; although after Liposuction any new accumulation of fat will be much more balanced on the entire body than before. Liposuction is also ideal for sculpting of the body and harmonizing body proportions. It is not an alternative to a diet nor should it be used primarily for weight loss.
Face Lift
Can a Face Lift be performed as day surgery?
Face Lift usually requires an overnight stay in the clinic.
What does an "S Lift-Short Scar Facelift" mean?
There are many alternative techniques to reposition and tighten the skin and soft tissue structures of the face. One of the most significant recent developments in facial aesthetic surgery is the ability to limit the scarring. These procedures are known by various names such as the "short-scar facelift," "mini facelift," and the "S-lift." The incisions and ultimately the scars for a short-scar lift begin in the temporal hair area and are extend downward, in front of the ear to the earlobe. Sometimes the incision can extend behind the earlobe or slightly behind the ear. The choice of placing the scar in the crease just in front of the ear or within the ear itself is determined by individual patient anatomy. An alternative incision is to place the incision along the temporal hairline, rather than within the temporal hair.
Are the sutures visible after the procedure and for how long?
Subtle sutures are made at the marginal areas of the face, so that they are not directly visible. With Endoscope interventions (Endoscope Forehead and Eyebrow Lift) usually only 3-5mm small cuts within the hairline area are made, just large enough to enable the surgeon to penetrate with the endoscope into the problem area. These interventions remain practically invisible. But in most cases removing thin strips of skin will be inevitable in order to obtain satisfying results.
When can I resume using makeup?
For a few days after the operation no makeup should be used.
When can I return to work?
Normal activities can be resumed after 2-3 weeks. It is advisable however, to wait at least two months if a perfect appearance is required.
How long do the effects of a face lift last?
The rejuvenating effect of a face lift is almost indefinite. However, the aging process is not stopped by the intervention. Therefore many patients decide after a period of 7-15 years to have a second lift. The duration of a face lift and the progress of aging are determined by many factors such as sun exposure, genetic predispositions, an increase or decrease in weight and other factors.
Are there alternatives to the classical face lift?
Alternative methods to the surgical face lift are: removal of wrinkles using inject able fillers, laser skin rejuvenating treatments, and chemical peel, abrasive methods such as dermabrasion, and Botox and similar applications. Whether the results of these methods and their durability correspond to the conceptions of the patient should be determined in each individual case during a personal consultation with the specialist.
What does Liposuction of the face mean?
Some patients have small areas of fat around the face, mostly at the neck under the chin, and in the folds between the bottom of the nose and the corners of the mouth. This fat is removed by liposuction with very small suction cannulae. Incisions can be made in hidden locations such as inside the nose, at the corner of the mouth and under the chin. Liposuction of the face is usually performed at the same time as a face lift. The most common areas to be treated are the neck and chin area.
Eyelid Lift
Can the Eyelid Lift also be performed as a day surgery?
Yes. Lifting of the eyelids is usually performed as day surgery, using local anesthesia The patient leaves the clinic on the same day. If, however, the surgery is performed using general anesthesia, it will require an overnight hospital stay. Surgeons usually prefer local anesthesia, so that during the surgery certain eye movements can be tracked. This can contribute to an optimal result.
Do the incisions remain visible after the surgery?
The skin of the eyelids is characterized by its exceptionally good healing ability, and for the eyelids, especially thin threads are used. Since the incisions are placed along the edge of the lower eyelid or within the lid-fold at the upper eyelid, the sutures are hardly visible after a few months.
Are the wrinkles at the lateral areas of the eyes removed, too?
No. The Blepharoplasty is limited to the area of the lids. The wrinkles on the lateral areas of the eyes are preferably removed with a facelift and/or a laser lift.
How long does the healing period last?
Swelling and bruises usually disappear after one week.
When can I start using make up again?
After a few days it is possible to use make up again.
Should some particular aftercare be done in order to improve the result of my Eyelid Lift?
Yes, especially after surgery of the lower eyelid, it is necessary to do scar massage. The patient should compress the scar and hold it for about 30 seconds. The patient can begin doing this massage 14 days after operation for a period of 1-2 months, repeated several times daily. This will help make the scar small and soft. Once the scar can no longer be felt and no longer reddens during the massage, then the massage treatment as a whole can be ended. The massage should be done until the patient begins to feel pain. After each massage there will be slight swelling. This is normal. The patient should place a cold cloth on the scar, in order to soothe the tissues of the eyelid.
Nose Correction
What's the difference between Closed Nose Correction and Open Nose Correction?
Both the operations are aimed to enhance the nose shape through the modification of the nose structure. The difference lies mainly in the different incisions used. External or Open Rhinoplasty is performed through a small incision in the columella. The incision is usually so fine that it practically disappears after an appropriate healing time. With the Internal or Closed Rhinoplasty, the surgeon modifies the nose cartilage through small cuts inside the nose. Although the closed method is slightly more complicated, an experienced surgeon (such as ours) is very unlikely to leave any visible scars
Is the procedure painful?
No, rhinoplasty ranks among the most painless of plastic surgeries. The nose-plugs, however, (i.e. nasal tampons which are introduced right after the operation) are said to be rather unpleasant, although not painful. They are necessary for the minimization of bleeding and to prevent the formation of hematoma. They are removed after 1-3 days.
Why the special nose plaster after surgery?
With a Nasal Sculpture the bone and cartilage structures of the nose are fractured and modified. The special post-operational nose plaster gives the necessary protection for a rapid and problem-free healing of the modified structures. It is removed after approximately 14-21 days.
When will I be presentable again in public?
The swelling and bruising around the nose and the eyes smooth out after 10-14 days. After about 14 days, when the nose plaster is removed, the nose and the face as a whole already have a 'normal' appearance. In the case of soft nose correction (correction of the nose tip) the special nose plaster may be removed already after few days.
Is it true that a Nose Correction should be preferably carried out during cool weather?
Indeed, some evidence suggests that nose surgery should be done during cool periods. Summer may prolong swelling, and many kinds of summer sports - such as football or skin-diving – substantially increase the risk of injury to the still-sensitive nose. During the first weeks the “new” nose should also be protected against the summer sun.
How long is the clinical stay?
A Nose Refinement requires a clinical stay of 1-2 days.
Abdominoplasty - Tummy Tuck
What is the difference between Mini-Tuck and a Classical, or Full Tuck?
In a mini-tuck, an incision is made along the upper margin of the pubic hair. A small strip of skin is removed including the hypodermis. The muscle tissue is not included in this operation. The navel is left in its original position. The Mini-Tuck is the ideal intervention for tightening flabby skin on patients without any serious weight- or fat problem but with wrinkled, folded skin (extra tissue, or: pannus) within the abdominal area.
Does an Abdominoplasty leave obvious scars?
With a full tummy tuck, the horizontal incision is placed along the upper end of the pubic hair and extended toward the love handles or hips. It is important to discuss with the surgeon the design of the preferred underwear in order to make a strategically positioned incision. In most cases it is possible to put the incision in a position which will be covered by the patient’s preferred underwear or swimsuit.
What happens with the navel?
With the mini-tuck the naval is left in its original position. With a full tuck, which also includes the tightening of the underlying muscle tissue, the navel is removed and repositioned at the end of the surgery.
Will the navel be lifted, too?
A younger naval tends to be round, but with maturity the naval tends to flatten horizontally. A tummy tuck does not necessarily make the naval round again, but thanks to the tightened skin after a tuck, it is generally rounder and younger looking than before the surgery.
Is the Plastic Surgery on the Abdomen always done under general anesthesia?
A full tuck, which may include the tightening of the underlying muscles, requires general anesthesia with at least a clinical stay of one day.
Is it possible to combine an Abdominoplasty with a Liposuction?
Yes. For a better final result Abdominoplasty is often combined with fat removal of adjacent areas like the hips or the upper abdominal area. Discuss the possibility of additional liposuction of separate adjacent areas with your surgeon during the consultation.
Is pregnancy after an Abdominoplasty a problem?
The operation does not represent any problem for a further pregnancy. However, as pregnancy can compromise the result of the surgery, the patient should plan for a tummy tuck after pregnancy rather than before.
Can stretch marks (birth marks after pregnancy) in that area be removed during the Abdominoplasty?
Yes, this is possible. During the surgery the surgeon will remove excessive skin from the area under the navel. Existing stretch marks will be removed too, as much as possible. It will not be possible to remove marks which are located above the navel. However, eventually remaining stretch marks above or below the navel may be treated in a separate laser session. Although it is not always possible to remove them completely by laser, after treatment they will be less visible and less disturbing. (Laser treatments can be repeated several times.)
